The Studio Harewood workspace

The studio.

Studio Harewood is the ceramics practice of Briana Baptiste, a Californian artist based in Sydney, Australia. Briana creates tableware, vessels, lighting, and sculptural forms focused on texture, balance, and touch.

The studio takes its name from Harewood, Jamaica—a small place deeply connected to her family history.

That sense of place, alongside the landscapes of California and Australia, continues to influence her work.

The making.

Pieces are wheel-thrown, dried slowly, and fired in an electric kiln.

Nothing is made in a hurry. A mug takes about two weeks from clay to packed box.

PHILOSOPHY

Made for the everyday.

Studio Harewood began with a simple belief: the objects we use every day shape our experience of the day itself. In a world that often moves too quickly, handmade objects invite us to slow down, pay attention, and find beauty in the everyday.

Studio Harewood creates ceramics for these daily rituals—objects made to be used often, consciously woven into the rhythm of everyday life.
